Costume, Hair and Makeup Requirements for Nutcracker 2016
General Instructions:
We will be providing Ballet tights. Pink Ballet shoes required unless otherwise directed.
Hair in a left part bun. Buns are to be straight back, in middle of head. (no low or high on top buns)
Basic Stage makeup unless otherwise directed, no wings. Basic Stage Makeup consists of foundation, browns on the eyelid, black eyeliner, blush and red lipstick. We have included some youtube videos that will help you with make up. See below.
Lipstick color: Revlon ColorStay Overtime in Ultimate Wine, available at Walgreens and Walmart.
All dancers need a Nude Camisole Style leotard to wear underneath costumes.
Details:
Nephew/Prince: Party scene: black socks, black ballet shoes. Basic stage makeup
Clara & Party Girls: Ballet Pink tights, pink canvas ballet shoes, nude camisole style leotard. Hair in bun. No bangs!! Basic Stage makeup. Lipstick must red.
Party Boys & Fritz: Black socks, black dress shoes. Hair will be neatly combed and sprayed in place. Basic Stage Makeup.
Party Men, Drosselmeyer: Black socks, Black dress shoes. Basic stage makeup
Party Women: Tan tights/nylons, black character shoes, Hair should be worn in 1890's style. We’ll discuss it. J Basic Stage makeup.
Party Scene Doll/Soldier: Ballet pink tights, pink pointe shoes, nude camisole style leotard. Hair will be worn in a ballet bun. Advanced stage makeup, Ms. Jessica will go over this with you. .
Maid: Ballet Pink tights, black character shoes, nude camisole style leotard. Hair will be pulled back into a ballet bun. Basic Stage Makeup
Mice: pink tights, pink canvas ballet shoes, nude camisole style leotard. Hair in Bun, basic Stage Makeup
Soldiers: Ballet Pink tights, pink canvas ballet shoes, nude camisole style leotard, Basic Stage makeup, Hair in Bun
Mice King: pink tights, pink canvas ballet shoes, hair will be worn pulled back and in a style so you are comfortable wearing the mouse heads. No Makeup is required.
Male Soloists: Cavalier: Gray Tights are given with your costume. Shoes as required for your costume. Ms Jessica and Ms Alice will talk to you. Basic Stage makeup. Hair must be neatly combed and sprayed in place.
Angels: pink ballet shoes, pink ballet shoes, need to wear a nude leotard underneath, basic stage makeup
Bon Bons: Ballet Pink tights, pink canvas ballet shoes, nude camisole style leotard. Hair in bun Basic Stage makeup
Chinese Dancers: Basic Stage Makeup
Snow Corps, Waltz of the Flowers Corps, Arabian Queen and Corps, Snow Queen, Merliton, Dew Drop Fairy & Sugar Plum Fairy: Ballet Pink tights, nude camisole style leotard, pink pointe shoes/ ballet shoes. Hair will be worn in a bun. Basic Stage Make WITH eyelashes, these will be provided by the company.
Russian: ballet tights, pink ballet shoes, Basic Stage Makeup. Women: hair will be worn in a ballet bun, male: neatly combed and sprayed in place.
Spanish: Female: Ballet Pink tights, nude camisole style leotard, pink pointe shoes.
Male: basic stage makeup, black shoes
